What to expect

The Little Soap Workshop

Our workshop and offices 99 High St, Broadway
The new Little workshop in Broadway can comfortably cater for up to six students at a time in the workshop though most students tend to come on their own for complete 1 to 1 tuition or bring a friend or two to bounce ideas off and share the cost of the day with…

Come for a 1-on-1 or bring a pal or a big gang?

2.5hour demo session to include making your own batches for groups/clubs/societies.
We also do Staff Away Days or Team Building or an alternative girlie day out: a soapy hen day making wedding favours together, or a society away day (we can cater for up to 15 to offer a demo morning or afternoon) – whatever the mix you bring, I guarantee you a great fun day out where you will all learn a new skill and go home laden with your own creations!

The only thing we ask is we only teach KNOWN groups which you organise and bring together – to us the dynamic is better and after all we are humble soap makers – trying to organise dates between various students fast turned us into PAs and that isn’t what Little Soap Company is about – we do the courses because we have a fab workshop that’s crying out to be utilised on days we’re not in there, we adore the lifestyle, love teaching eager new soap makers and helping to spread the natural soap word…. we don’t do courses on set days, packing people in for courses sake… that’s not us.

Boys like soap making too…!

Course dates & structure of the day

Little Soap School days are run on days that suit both you and us throughout the year on weekdays. Your day is just that – YOURS – we don’t do group sessions, unless you organise a friend or two or three to join you. Simply  email or call us to discuss your ideal dates and we’ll go from there…

Lucy (our very own Soap Queen) & her birthday goggles!
Courses usually run from 10.30-4pm, however, it is your day and students come from across the world to attend, so naturally we will time the course around you. Want to miss rush hour and are driving a distance same day? Let’s start at 10 or 11am and finish an hour later – if you’re an early bird or have children to pick up then let’s start at 8.30 or 9 and just finish sooner…. it’s a luxurious day for you to chill out and let your hair down and we want you to arrive (and leave!) relaxed. Simple! All I ask is this is sorted upon booking so it’s all in the diary and we can schedule in with the relevant course tutor…

So, whatever time you arrange to arrive – there will be award winning and locally made M’Hencha cake with tea or locally ground coffee awaiting you… we’ll start with a full discussion around the Little kitchen table as you settle about the day ahead – what you want from the day and go through the theory part (but not too much – we are hands on and will be itching to get in the workshop a few steps away – as am sure you will be too!). We will explore and go through all the raw ingredients that can be used to make the products you’re here to learn about, then a more tactile touch, feel and smell of the delicious oils and butters as we talk you through your first batch in the workshop where you watch and ask lots of questions and we go through the processes cover to cover…. then we break for lunch….. as you walk out of front door the High St is a 2minute walk to your left with a wealth of choice from Prego pizza to pubs (The Swan and Crown & Trumpet) or Broadway Deli, Hunters or Market Pantry, then it’s back to the workshop where the afternoon is yours to make and make and make batches to your hearts delight!

The day rounds off with locally made brownies and a cup of tea or coffee….!

Brownies to round the day off…
M’Hencha to start the day…

Email us to sort out dates. As a general rule of thumb all courses are available Mon-Fri, Creams and Balms and Perfumery are available on Monday’s and Fridays…  Email us for more info and dates!
