Can you believe that 2022 is almost upon us? Here at Little Soap we’ve truly had an amazing year and we’re so. very grateful to all of our loyal customers and fans who have quite literally kept us going. We survived through some challenging times, but we’re still standing and we’re super excited to write a new chapter. So, 2022. What will next year bring? This week we’re sharing some of our hopes for the year ahead. Please do leave a comment and let us know what you hope to see over the next 12 months!
Sustainable products will become more mainstream
We’ve already seen huge shifts in the way the world is choosing to shop, with more and more consumers demanding that brands commit to sustainable practises. We want to see this as the norm in 2022- and that starts with us.
Don’t settle for less. Avoid single use plastic and excessive packaging. Opt for refillable products that are made fairly and ethically. 2022 has real potential to do some amazing things to our supermarket shelves! From food, to fashion, to beauty products- there really is no excuse and we’re ready for it!
More people will work from home
It started as a necessary rule to keep us all safe, but we think that in 2022 employers will become more flexible and see the real benefits in allowing more people to work from home. Not only will there be less cars on the road and less energy being used to power huge offices but the impact can be huge for working parents too. Here’s to 2022 allowing us to spend less time stuck in traffic and more time with our families!
More people will commit to a plant-based diet
Last year the Veganuary campaign took pledges from around half a million people! Its predicted that 2022’s campaign will see even more people turning their backs on a meat filled diet and embracing a more sustainable way of life instead. We really hope this happens! More people will wise up to green washing
We wrote about Green Washing in this post back in July, yet many still don’t know what it means or why it matters. More urgently, some are still unable to recognise when it’s happening either. We’re hoping that in 2022, more consumers are able to learn not only how to spot it, but how to challenge it too. As we’ve always said, if a brand is not willingly transparent when asked about their practises, then they may have something to hide…
More of us will prioritise our mental health
We’ve come a long way, but there are still many stigmas that surround mental health- and too many people afraid to speak up. Let’s make 2022 the year that we are kinder, more inclusive and more determined to prioritise mental health. We can do this.
Natural soap will become even more accessible to all!
We couldn’t end this post without a plea for natural soap to become more accessible to all in 2022! This has always been our mission, and we’re so very delighted to see more and more people ditching the plastic bottles and reaching for the bars.
Over the last 12 months, we’ve received awards for many of our gorgeous products, including the Naturals Lemon Zest and Sweet Orange bars, the Eco Warrior Shampoo, Exfoliating, Charcoal and Beauty Edit Sensitive Cleansing bars, and not to mention the Organic Rose Geranium bar and Avocado Oil bar too!
We’ve launched our amazing Eco Warrior Men’s Edit, we’ve joined forces with Dove and The Body Shop to save cruelty free cosmetics. We’ve enjoyed 12 months as a B Corp brand and we’re looking forward to another 12 too. So without further ado.. 2022, bring it on!
