When we think of festive makeup, we think of sparkles and glitter, right? But what happens to all that glitter once you wash it away? Sadly, it ends up in our oceans, polluting our marine life and damaging the planet. So does that mean eco friendly makeup is sans glitter?!

We’re ending this post with the most important eco friendly makeup and cleansing tip of them all. Always, we repeat, always remove your makeup before you go to bed. No matter how tempting it is, going to sleep with your festive makeup firmly in place is never going to be a good idea. During sleep, your skin needs to breathe and the cells work hard to renew themselves ready for the next day. They can’t do that if they’re blocked by makeup!
Makeup wipes are a no-no (most of them are not eco friendly, and are often single use), but using a soft bamboo cloth and treating yourself to a hot cloth cleanse is a big YES! Also use. a gentle soap to cleanse and nourish, and make sure this is part of your daily routine without fail- whether you’ve been our partying or not!
