Because in its raw, unfiltered form apple cider vinegar is full of enzymes, minerals and nutrients that work wonders on your skin, making this part of your beauty regime is a really great idea. Add some to a glass container filled with water and use cotton wool to apply to the face. Let it air dry, don’t remove, then follow with a light layer of coconut oil to lock in the moisture. You won’t regret it!

Yes, apple cider vinegar can keep your house clean too. Just half a cup of vinegar mixed with 1 cup of water makes a natural cleaning solution that’s second to none. Use it to clean the microwave, bathroom tiles, kitchen work tops and windows. It can also work as a disinfectant if you add a dash of bicarbonate of soda.

Hair care

As already mentioned, apple cider vinegar can work wonders on tired, dry hair. Its deep cleaning properties means that it can strip the hair of product build up and shampoo residues with no fuss at all. All you need is half a tablespoon of vinegar in a cup of water. You can add a couple of drops of essential oil if you like. Add to wet hair and rinse well. The smell won’t last for long, but the shine will!

Now, hear us out. Apple cider vinegar makes a great mouthwash. Honestly, its not as bad as it sounds! Just two teaspoons mixd with one quarter of a cup of water is all it takes. Swish it around in the mouth for 15-20 seconds then spit. The braver amongst us will swallow for added benefits to the digestive system, but you don’t have to! Brush your teeth straight away after you do this though, so that acid is not left on the teeth long enough to cause damage. Voila! Fresh breath and healthy gums!

  • A large tub or foot spa

Simply mix the vinegar/ water solution and add to a bowl large enough to place your feet inside. Then relax. But bear in mind that open wounds or sore will sting!
