Here at Little Soap Company HQ we’re huge fans of juicing and have been making our own for years now. There’s nothing quite like a fresh, nutritious glass of greens to start your day the right way! With this in mind, today we’re celebrating the fact that we truly love juicing… and here are three little reasons why.

Depending on the state of your body and the nutrients it’s calling out for, there really is a juice for every occasion! There are juices to detoxify, juices to reduce inflammation in the body, juices to heal the digestive system and juices for weight loss. And the best thing? It’s up to you what you put in there. Here are three of our favourite juices, each targeting a different problem area in the body:

Pineapple Powerhouse

This juice is amazing for reducing bloat; the combination of pineapple and fennel mixed with ginger is really quite the magic potion. You need:

  • half a pineapple
  • half a fennel bulb
  • two stalks of celery
  • a four inch piece of fresh ginger

Beetroot Banger

This juice is fantastic for improving memory and helping balance out hormones too. You need:

  • one quarter of a pineapple
  • two beetroots
  • two stalks of celery
  • one teaspoon rosemary leaves
  • one teaspoon thyme leaves
  • six sage leaves

Green Goddess

There are some who say that a juice isn’t a juice if it isn’t green… we say go for all the colours! but we do LOVE a green juice and all that it does for the mind and body – this one is a true favourite:

  • one generous handful of kale leaves
  • one handful of spinach
  • two stalks of celery
  • a small handful of parsley
  • one apple
  • half a pear
  • eight raspberries
  • the juice of 1 lime

Juicing helps to detox the body

We all need a little clear out every now and then and the purpose of a detox is to help the body rid itself of various toxins and other nasties that build up over time. Juicing is a fantastic way to kick start a detox program because just one glass can incorporate a huge range of nutrients that your body is just crying out for. Combined with health solid food (yes, you can eat food on a juice detox!) you have a recipe for cleansing success!

A great way to introduce juicing as part of your detox is by replacing the first meal of the day with a juice packed full of goodness. Try drinking a different colour juice each morning so that your body reaps the benefit of a wider range of fruit and vegetables.

Juicing improves your emotional wellbeing

It’s not all about glowing skin and a trim waist line. Juicing has SO MANY more benefits and this is why it really is a way of life for many. When you fill your body with concentrated nutrients this powerful your whole mind, body and soul will benefit.
