What to Expect

The Little Soap Workshop

The Little Workshop in Broadway can comfortably cater for up to four students at a time, though most students tend to come on their own for complete 1 to 1 tuition or bring a friend to bounce ideas off and share the cost of the day with…

Course dates & structure of the day

Little Soap School Workshops are run on set weekdays throughout the year. Your day is just that – YOURS – we don’t do group sessions, unless you organise a friend or two or three to join you.

Courses run from 10.30 – 4pm

There will be tea or coffee for you on arrival… we’ll start with a chat around the Little kitchen table about the day ahead and what you want from the day. We will go through the theory part (but not too much – we are hands on and we will be itching to get in the workshop a few steps away – as we are sure you will be too!). We will explore and go through all the raw ingredients that can be used to make soap, then a more tactile touch, feel and smell of the delicious oils and butters as we talk you through and make a batch of our Artisan soap: stockpots, measuring tubes, thermometers the lot – you’ll see our secrets before your eyes! Relax and watch as we go through the process. You will have an hour off to wander up the High Street for lunch. There are so many wonderful eateries ranging from tearoomscafes, the deli, and Number 32posh fish and chips, to several English pubs  (the Visit Broadway website shows them all). Then it’s back to the workshop where the afternoon is yours to make and make and make batches to your hearts delight….!  We will then finish with tea and a chocolate brownie from another award winning local company!, The Cotswold Larder, before you head home with all your own-made goodies!

Business Module Our Business Module is emailed out to you as a PDF on receipt of payment. It is an e-pack containing everything you need to adhere to legislation, trading standards and local council wise as well as contacts (for toxological chemists, independent safety assessors, where to source raw ingredients and so forth). The cost is £1000 to incl an hour long follow up conversation with Emma once you’d had time to go through everything and write a list of questions for her to go through with you.
