Stick with us!
Little Soap Company started with a passion for providing natural soap to everyone. Our goal has always been to ensure more and more people are aware of the great things we can do when we’re united in a common cause. We wanted to use natural ingredients and help our customers to make consciously ethical decisions in all areas of life. Our soap bars have always been our best sellers, and now more than ever. We as consumers are taking control and making demands on manufacturers because, frankly, enough is enough. We don’t need endless plastic packaging. We don’t need nasty chemicals flooding our waters and polluting our skin. We don’t need unnecessary waste, destruction or chaos. The people are speaking out, and we cannot be more excited about it! It’s been reported that around 12.2 tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans every single year, and most of that is made up from plastic bottles- including toiletry bottles. It’s also predicted that without change, by 2050 there will be more plastic in our seas than fish- now THAT is a scary thought. You want to reduce your plastic use and become plastic-free in 2019? Stick with us. We’ve always been plastic free. We’ve always championed the soap bar, helping more families to reduce their overall plastic usage. We’ve always led the way in the hope that others will follow- and now, finally, they are!Our policies
Just in case you need a little more convincing, its worth noting that we source ingredients for our soap bars with an extremely close eye to environment impact overall. Our packaging is 100%
Three tips for reducing plastic across the home
Choosing to buy soap bars is only the beginning, and there is much more you can do today to drastically reduce your plastic use even further this year. Here are our top three tips:- Re-use what you can. Ditch the single use items and make a conscious effort to only buy things that you know you’re going to use over and over. No more disposable razors, nappies or make-up wipes. Collect up all those slithers of soap and read this post on what to do with them. Almost everything in your bathroom and beyond can be swapped out for a more eco-friendly alternative.
- Ditch the clingfilm. Here in the UK, we use a staggering 1.2 billion metres of the stuff each year and there is simply NO NEED! Switch to more eco-friendly ways of storing your food, such as wrapping in muslin cloths, or using mason jars that you will re-use again and again.
- Say no to single-use coffee cups. Today, right now- invest in a coffee cup that you will take to Starbucks, or wherever you get your coffee fix and make a commitment to take it with you every single time. No cup, no coffee!
