Transforming The Industry
Here at Little Soap Company, we do not believe that boycotting palm oil is the answer – instead, we want to play our part in transforming the industry. The whole sustainability issue is vast and that’s why we sought the guidance of the Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS), a conservation charity dedicated to protecting the critically endangered Sumatran orangutan and their habitats.
SOS helped us to play our part in taking forest loss off supermarket shelves, and in turn Little Soap Company and our customers supported SOS’s rewilding and orangutan conservation work, empowering local communities to safeguard these vital forests. Although our partnership has now come to a natural close, we continue to champion responsible palm oil and sustainable practices.

Sumatran Orangutan Society
From 2021 to 2023, we were proud to partner with the amazing team at the Sumatran Orangutan Society (SOS). During this time, Little Soap Company supported reforestation projects that helped restore vital ecosystems around the Leuser Ecosystem – one of the last places where Sumatran orangutans still thrive. SOS’s dedication to protecting both orangutans and their rainforest home inspired us every step of the way, and this collaboration was a true reflection of our shared commitment to making a real difference for the planet.
Additionally, Little Soap Company maintains a policy of using only certified sustainable palm oil in its products, sourced from accredited organic, RSPO-certified plantations. This approach ensures that our palm oil production does not harm the rainforests essential to orangutans and numerous other species.
Although our partnership with SOS has come to a natural close, Little Soap Company continues to uphold our dedication to ethical practices and environmental sustainability. The company remains a proud member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), reflecting our ongoing commitment to responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship.
