Make a measurable goal

Make your goals realistic
We can all dream- it's what makes us amazing, and what makes life bearable sometimes. But as already mentioned, unachievable goals are never going to be helpful if we really want to move forward in 2018. Don't set yourself a goal that just isn't possible. Small steps are steps forward and just as important as huge leaps. More importantly, small steps are achievable and realistic.Search your heart and aim for goals that are important to you
There is no point what-so-ever in striving to achieve someone else's goal. You are a unique person with your own amazing mind, so use it to decide exactly what it is you want to achieve for 2018. Get yourself a notebook and explore the things that are important to you, and the areas that you'd love to improve. Maybe you have plans to completely swap out your makeup and beauty regime to all natural rather than a combination of both? Maybe you want to start growing your own plants to use in cooking? Maybe you want to smash a few personal bests at the gym? Whatever your goals, write them down. Make them real. Then start to plot how you can achieve them, and when is realistic to do so. These tips might help:- Don't give yourself a deadline. There is no need- this is a goal for life, and as long as you work at your own pace to achieve it, there doesn't need to be at timetable.
- Don't be vague. It's ok to want to be happier in life, but explore the things that actually make you happy, and the ways that you can achieve those things. It might be as simple as to read a new book. It might be saving up enough money to visit New York. It's your goal, so set it and keep it in mind.
- Get organised. Once you have your list of achievable, measurable goals, write down the ways that you can achieve them. If your goal is to run a race in the summer, you'll need to get organised so that you can train for that race. So leave your running shoes by the door before you go to bed. Write down at least three things you can do to help achieve your goals.
- Don't give up. If you have no deadline on your goals, you're less likely to give up if you don't achieve them by a certain time. Set yourself smaller goals within your main goal so that you can track your progress and see how far you've come.
