Following on from our last post taking a deep dive into the ingredients we use in our beautiful Organic Orange Blossom soap bar, this week we thought we’d dive even further into this wonderful fragrance. It was a trip to Marrakesh that led to the creation of our sweet and zesty soap bar, an experience that left a lasting impact for sure. Read on to find out more about the inspiration behind our Organic Orange Blossom Soap bar.
The Symbolism of the Orange Tree
Close your eyes for a moment, and imagine you’re walking through a warm, lively street in Marrakesh. There are orange trees lining the path, and their branches are heavy with bright, vibrant fruit. The aroma of oranges fills the air, and as you take a deep breath, your senses are awakened by the fresh, lively scent. The sun is warm against your skin, you're walking alongside friends and your heart feels truly happy. Orange blossom lines the pathway, and the aroma fills your soul with promises of joy, happiness and life. It's a moment you know you'll remember forever.
THIS is what it feels like to take a shower with our Organic Orange Blossom soap bar! We created this bar with Morocco in mind, so that each time you use it you too can be transported to that bustling street lined with orange blossom trees.
But it was the symbolism of the orange tree in Morocco that really captured our hearts, and led to the final fragrance blend of the Organic Orange Blossom soap bar. In Morocco, the orange tree is deeply embedded in mythology and daily life, with links to strong themes of paradise and love. The bright and sunny hues of the fruit symbolise warmth, joy, and prosperity, resonating with the country’s sunny climate and rich cultural landscape.
Oranges and weddings

Weddings are known to be happy, joyous occasions - so it came as no surprise to find that in Morocco, oranges play a central role in not only the ceremony but in cultural beliefs surrounding marriage too.
Oranges represent purity and innocence and are particularly associated with brides. In fact, Moroccan wedding bouquets often feature orange blossoms and throughout the wedding, decorations lean into this theme as a homage to the links to fertility and new beginnings.
Orange trees and wealth
Orange trees are also thought to symbolise wealth and prosperity in Morocco; the bright and vibrant colours of the fruit are said to bring good fortune and abundance, and this is reflected in the gorgeous, lush orange groves in the country. Locals often gift oranges during festive seasons and they’re used to symbolise good luck and financial success during New Year celebrations. Moroccans believe that the power of oranges goes far beyond physical nourishment - they bring economic and spiritual well-being too.
Why we chose orange blossom for our soap bar

When we develop fragrances for our soap bars, we put a lot of our heart and soul into the entire process. We look for fragrance blends that work well together, with ingredients that are natural and kind to skin and planet. But we also look for a story too. We want to take you on a journey when you use our products; we want you to feel part of the narrative behind the blend.
Our Organic Orange Blossom soap bar was inspired by the rich history of the orange tree and the fact that oranges are integral to Moroccan daily life and rituals. It’s refreshing, it’s zingy, it’s sweet - everything you need in a natural bar soap inspired by the rich history of the orange tree. Bliss.
